AestheticHire (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website AestheticHire.co.uk, a job board dedicated to the UK aesthetic clinic industry. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

Job seekers: email address when you sign up for job alerts.
Employers: email address, clinic name, job listing details, and payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers).
Contact form submissions: name, email address, and message content.
Usage data: pages visited, browser type, and approximate location (via server logs). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

How we use your data

To send job alert emails that match your preferences (job seekers).
To allow you to manage your job listings via your employer dashboard.
To process payments for job listings via Stripe.
To respond to contact form enquiries.
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we process personal data on the following bases:

Contract: processing necessary to fulfil our service to employers (publishing job listings).
Consent: sending job alert emails to job seekers who have opted in.
Legitimate interests: responding to contact enquiries and preventing abuse.

Data retention

Job alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
Employer account and listing data: for 12 months after your last listing expires.
Contact form messages: for 12 months.
Payment records: for 7 years (legal requirement).

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase: database and authentication hosting. Data is stored in EU data centres.
Stripe: payment processing. Card data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never touches our servers.
Vercel: website hosting. Server logs may capture IP addresses temporarily.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
Withdraw consent for job alerts at any time — use the unsubscribe page or email us and we'll remove you manually.
Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (magic link sessions). We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent employer dashboard login from working.
